6 Days Samburu, Aberdares, and Amboseli Safari

A northern circuit that stitches together three of Kenya's most characterful parks. You start in Samburu: a dry, red-baked landscape threaded by the Ewaso Nyiro River where the "Samburu Special Five" — Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk — live nowhere else in Kenya. From there you climb into the misty Aberdares to sleep in a tree lodge above a floodlit waterhole, watching elephants ghost in and out of the dark. The final act is Amboseli — open plains, massive elephant herds, and if the clouds part, Kilimanjaro rising eighteen thousand feet behind them.
