4-Day Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru Safari
Four days across Kenya's two most photographed natural stages. You start in the Maasai Mara — golden savannah stretching to a flat horizon, lions draped over kopjes, cheetah scanning the plains from termite mounds. Two full days of game drives give you time to follow a hunt, wait by a river crossing, or simply park under an acacia and watch the wildebeest stream past. Then you come down from the plateau into the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, where the landscape snaps from wide to intimate: flamingos wading in the shallows, rhinos moving through fever trees, and if you're patient, a leopard draped over a branch a few feet above your vehicle.
Mount Kenya Trek — Sirimon Route to Point Lenana (5 Days)
Mount Kenya — 5,199 metres of ancient volcanic plug straddling the equator — is Africa's second-highest mountain. This five-day trek follows the Sirimon route up one of the mountain's gentler approaches, passing through every vegetation zone: dense montane forest, giant bamboo, heather moorland studded with lobelia, and finally the lunar rock above 4,500 metres. The target is Point Lenana (4,985m), the trekking summit — no ropes, no crampons, just steady walking and a pre-dawn push to arrive at the summit for a sunrise that spills across the jagged peaks of Batian and Nelion. You descend via the Chogoria route, the most beautiful way off the mountain, past tarns and waterfalls, through the Gorges Valley, and out to the high moorland where you'll want to keep looking back.
Rift Valley Bird Watching Safari — 5 Days, 5 Lakes
The Rift Valley lakes are one of the world's great birding circuits, and this five-day car route connects five of them — Naivasha, Elementaita, Nakuru, Bogoria, and Baringo — in an itinerary that puts you in front of 450-plus species. Greater and lesser flamingos in clouds of pink. African fish eagles calling from dead trees. Pelicans, storks, kingfishers, bee-eaters, secretary birds, and if you work the reeds at Lake Baringo, the unmistakable flash of a malachite kingfisher. Kakamega Forest Birding Expedition — 4 Days
Kakamega is a rainforest relic. Forty million years ago, this forest was connected to the great jungles of the Congo Basin. Today it sits like an island in western Kenya, the last remnant of the ancient Guineo-Congolian rainforest, and it holds birds, butterflies, primates, and plants found nowhere else in the country. Great Blue Turacos flash turquoise through the canopy. Black-and-white-casqued Hornbills honk from the high branches. Grey Parrots screech overhead at dusk. With 330 bird species and 400 butterfly species, Kakamega is a birder's obsession. Your guide will take you down the trails at dawn when the forest comes alive, and after dark, night walks reveal chameleons, bush babies, and the red eyes of tree frogs.
